Are your emotions serving you?

What does it mean to transform your life?  Transformation in the dictionary means a complete change, usually into something to a new state of permanence.  With this shift, you can RISE to the challenge and goals you have set for yourself.  Let’s look at the ways to achieve your emotional transformation to a happier, healthier, more fulfilled human who loves herself and those around her:

  1. Take time to understand what is motivating you to transform your life first.
  2. Take 100% responsibility for your transformation that includes how you behave, your emotions, your actions.
  3. Embrace all that you are and all that you feel.  Work with your emotions they are there to guide us. By acknowledging these emotions, it allows you to move past the ones that do not serve you. 
  4. Fall in love with yourself again.
  5. Practice gratitude every day for the things you have today.
  6. Acknowledge the lessons learnt and know that there will be bumps in the road on this journey through life, but with work and practice forgiveness.
  7. Allow your feelings of anger, fear, envy, shame, guilt, etc. to turn into feelings of love.  Break through those negative feelings and see yourself as the shining star you can be.
  8. Self-realization is necessary before the real change can only occur.  You must directly experience your feelings and emotions to get beyond them.
  9. Yearn for more and listen to your deep inner desires.  Let them emerge to create a unique, new you.  A yearning is not a want…it’s the need to be more than we already are.  Achieve this yearning and you will create a new you, one who will connect to herself and others through touching, loving, seeing, hearing, and helping.
  10. Engage in your life.  Be spontaneous and in the moment every second of every day.  Live your life to its fullest.
  11. Practice being more aware of yourself and your environment.  Move beyond those beliefs of your past that no longer serve you to move forward.
  12. Liberate yourself and do things beyond who you are today.  Do the undoable and say the unsayable until they become intentional and a part of your everyday life.
  13. Make the lifelong commitment to make changes within yourself and dedicate your life to these changes.  Change and learn for a better you.
  14. Pursue your passions. Reignite those passions and interests that made each day new and exciting and make them an essential part of your life today.

During your life’s transformation, you will be confronted with fears. And this is where, in my life, I have had the most growth in my life. Feel the fear and do it anyway! Overcoming these fears can be difficult and you can do it. One step at a time. Surround yourself with positive people and networks who lift you higher. In reality, our biggest fear is of being our greatest self, but you must recognize your fears, meet them head on, and use them to help you move forward.
