Find Your Balance

Balance

“Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life. It starts with recognising your talents and finding ways to serve others by using them.” – Thomas Kinkade

Imagine a life without worry or stress. Sound peaceful? Stress and worries, struggles and obstacles are completely normal aspects of life. What a majority of us have trouble with is finding that center – that point of balance where it all is manageable. Teetering on the edge rather than sitting comfortably overlooking the ledge knowing we have the safety net in place to not need to worry so much.

Do you wish you knew which direction to go in, what to look for in order to reach that apex? Having a little guidance is all that proves necessary. Coaches and leaders use their skills and knowledge to help themselves and help others achieve this peak of harmony in their lives. No matter what you are trying to balance, these 4 tips may help to guide you along the path to success.

  1. Let Life Take the Lead – While work is important, if you let life take the focus you’ll feel more fulfilled and refreshed and accomplished. All of these will translate into better work in the long-run and you will have that sense of calm and peace that you so strive for. If you know the life you want to lead, then you can find the career/job that fits into that lifestyle and work towards that balance.
  2. Resolve Burnouts – No one is immune to feeling burnt out. Ensure you take the steps to ensure that you properly take care of or prevent burnout by reducing your stress. Stress is a negative factor that flows into every aspect of life – sleep, home, work, etc. If you manage your stress, you will undoubtedly feel the weight being lifted from your shoulders. Figure out a schedule, say “no” when you are at your limit, and be efficient. All of these will help eliminate stressors that prevent any semblance of a balanced life.
  3. Utilize Role Models – Others have been where you are, watch those whom you look up to and see what they do to create that sense of ease. How can you emulate that in your own life? Obviously copying exactly what they do may not work for YOU, but figure out how to adapt that to meet your own needs and get the same results. It is possible.
  4. Celebrate You – Pick something just for yourself whether it’s taking a cooking class, participating in a sport, going for a walk, or simply reading a book. Give yourself time to recharge and renew your joy. Although everything can’t be rainbows and butterflies – you can make some fly in your life with a little effort and discipline.find balance

Once you start on this path, you won’t want to stop. Creating that calm in your life will make it easy to help others do the same. Like Thomas Kinkade said, start by finding your talents – what kind of life you wish to lead – and then finding ways to service others by using those talents will come naturally. Your successful life will follow with your sense of balance, peace, and joy. we RISE together!
