Partnerships are Key!

When I think of the people and organisations we work with there is one common thread. We are collaborators by nature. We are successful through others. We are collective in our purpose and “We” is our favorite word.

However creating collective “We” movements are not easy. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Bringing together diverse cultures, thinkers, experiences and mindsets takes time, persistence and creativity.

Mai Chen continues to do the work of 10 people and has stayed the course of creating an inclusive movement. This week she launched SuperDIVERSE women championing the rights and achievements of women from indigenous and migrant backgrounds. It’s an inclusive “We” movement that starts to address policies such as updating the NZ discrimination law into the 21st Century and hearing from Super Diverse women and the challenges they have faced in New Zealand. Mai has our 100% support as I know in true Mai Chen style she will cut to the core of diversity policies and politics.

United Partnership
We are truly excited to continue our RISE2025 movement and new venue partnership with Unitec Institute of Technology on Monday 20 February as we train Māori, Pasifica and Asian women as internationally recognised coaches through our partnership with Empower World.

Josie Keelan – Dean Teaching and Learning Matauranga Māori shared “Unitec are delighted to be a venue partner for RISE2025 as it aligns with our community commitment and belief in employment-focused training.”

RISE2025 believes in Unitec’s “The Think.Do way” of learning and developing skills and knowledge through education, entrepreneurship and gaining real life employability skills.

As we grow and develop Māori, Pacifica and Asian women to gain new leadership and coaching skills we begin to build self-empowerment, self-determination, self-value belief systems which trickle through to whanau (family), iwi (tribe/people) and communities we shift social and economic stigma and statistics in New Zealand.

My business partner Jeanine Bailey interviewed me about my own coach training programme with co-Empower World below. We hope this supports indigenous women globally to understand the power of coaching to transform your career, business and life. Join the RISE2025 movement to reach 100,000 indigenous women by 2025 as we transform the world one coaching conversation at a time!
