As we countdown to Christmas celebrations with our whānau (families) my word for 2016 is Gratitude! There have been many highlights this year. Two really stand out for me.
- Witnessing a year of growth, stretching and courage from all the #rise2025 #hinepreneur coaches as they begin to graduate as internationally recognised ICF coaches. Big congratulations to Natasha Reardon-Willison for being the first of many Māori and indigenous women to reach her ICF Associate Certified Coach credential. Learn more HERE
- Being present to see our niece Tamara graduate with her Bachelor of Health Science from Auckland University of Technology last week and start a new role with the District Health Board in Environmental Health in November. Proud parents, whānau and friends all round!
Moving forward into 2017 we are excited to share our two Auckland dates for RISE coaching and leadership programme as we work towards positively impacting 100,000 indigenous women globally. Our programmes in Aotearoa, NZ are open to women who identify as Māori, Pacific Island or Asian.
RISE is unique as it offers an international certification and credential in coaching through the International Coach Federation AND a cultural exchange of our rich Māori heritage as a foundation for coaching, leadership and lifelong learning.

Stage 1 of our RISE programme will be 3 x 3 days of facilitated learning from February to April 2017. You will be in the safety and trusted environment of myself and my business partner Jeanine Bailey from Empower World. Together we have over thirty years of international experience across UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia and Aotearoa, NZ. We bring a dynamic international coaching methodology to our programmes. Collectively we are trained and experienced in Executive & Life Coaching, Human Resources, NLP, Leadership Development, Entrepreneurship, Governance, Relationship Marketing, Business Development, DISC accreditation, Cultural awareness and Emotional intelligence to list just a small portion of what we bring to this learning environment.
- Stage 2 is moving to online group coach mentoring via our Zoom platform (RISE facilitated)
- Stage 3 is 1-2-1 online coach mentoring (RISE facilitated)
- ICF Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) certification awarded by RISE
- Stage 4 is completion of the 100 hours of coach practice (Self Directed)
- Stage 5 is completion of the ICF Coach Knowledge Assessment online exam (Self Directed)
- ICF Associate Certified Coach credential awarded by ICF
Timeline all of the above stages is dependent on each participant’s commitment. On average to complete the ICF ACSTH certification is between 6 – 12 months. You have up to 18 months to complete all requirements to ensure you can balance your life, career or business with the RISE programme.

Internationally, Jeanine and I will be travelling to Tsavo, Kenya in June 2017 to support Global Angels Foundation and work with Tsavo women on their inspiring social enterprise projects. Our intention is to travel as a group of RISE coaches who have recently completed our training and / or ICF coaches who are interested in joining this life-changing project. As an advisory board member of Global Angels for five years now I’m so excited to be able to give-back and support Founder and dear friend Molly Bedingfield.
